Our Parent and Child program is our warm welcome to Waldorf education. Join us for these weekly classes specially designed for each developmental stage, from children who are 1 – 2 years of age. We offer simple and natural toys that nurture the development of a free imaginative life. We offer songs, games, and finger play, appropriate for each age, that encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills. We offer a peaceful and joyful environment that supports healthy social and emotional development.
Fall Parent and Child Class for 12 – 23 Months of Age
These weekly classes are nurturing for both parent and child. We offer simple, natural toys that allow and encourage the development of the imagination. Each class has time for movement, free exploration, singing and games that reflects our Waldorf nursery classroom rhythm. An organic, nutritious snack is shared. Each class also includes tie for conversation and parenting support.

Maple Two- Year Olds Program
Older Two-year-olds: Silver Maples
(Age requirement: 2 years 5 months to 2 years 8 months by September 1, 2017)

We invite young children 2 years 5 months to 2 years 8 months by September 1, 2017 and their parents, to join our 2’s Program, two days a week, September through June.
Our 2’s class is a wonderful introduction to the Waldorf early childhood classroom curriculum and our school community. Led by experienced teachers, the children are encouraged to take part in free play, participate in bread-baking or snack preparation and circle time with nursery rhymes and fingerplays. Parents will have the opportunity to work on simple crafts and to engage in parent study. Children, parents and teachers will share a nutritious organic snack together and seasonal puppet shows. Beginning in January, parents will start the gentle separation process, spending time together in our parent gathering space. Beginning in January, children will stay with their class on their own. Silver Maples is a full-year program.
Younger Two- year-olds: Sugar Maples
(Age requirement: 2 years to 2 years 5 months by October 1, 2017)
Our Sugar Maples class is designed for children who have not yet turned two years five months by September 2017. This is a wonderful introduction to the Waldorf early childhood classroom curriculum and our school community. Led by experienced teachers, the children are encouraged to take part in free play, bread-baking and snack preparation, and a circle time with nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays and stories. Parents will have the opportunity work on simple crafts and to engage in the study of child development. Children, parents and teachers will enjoy nutritious organic snack and outside time together. Parents will stay with their children in the classroom until their child is ready for a bit of separation. At that point, parents may stay in our parent gathering space while their child is in class. Children may stay on their own with their class after they turn 2 year 9 months.

Full payment is required for the semester, even if you are unable to attend all the classes.
